Shakes and Fidget (also known as sfgame) is a computer role-playing game for Internet browsers and mobile devices developed and published by Playa Games in 2009. The role-playing game offers three classes (Warrior, Mage, Scout) and lets you pick from eight races including orcs, humans, elves, gnomes or demons. Originally, it is a Flash - Browser game but since 2010 adapted mobile app versions for smartphones and tablets with Apple iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 have also been released. The Android app has been rated 190.970 times and has received 4.7 out of 5 stars.〔https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playagames.shakesfidget&hl=de〕 The game has won four prizes so far: German Developer Award 2009 in the category "Best German Casual Game", "Best Browser Game 2009", BÄM Award 2010 "Best Browser Game", and Game Star "Game of the Year 2010". In the game's Tavern you start Quests, drink beer to increase your Thirst for Adventure and gamble for gold and mushrooms. In the Arena you can attack other players to win honor and gold. You can work for the City Guard to earn gold and spend it in Shake's or Fidget's store. In the barn it is possible to rent mounts. At the Dealer the player can buy mushrooms, the ingame currency. In Guilds you can unite with other players, talk to them in Guild Chat, benefit from the Guild's gold and experience bonuses and start attacks against other Guilds (Guild Wars). There are several dungeons with computer opponents. The deeper you go, the harder the opponent but a victory rewards you with extra experience points and better equipment or gold. Since October 2010 there are so-called Guild Raids. They are similar to Guild Wars, but are solely against computer opponents. For completing Guild Raids the entire Guild gets increased gold and experience bonuses. Each participating Guild member receives experience points. The Guild leader must be level 50 or higher to start a Raid. There is also a Hall of Fame that displays all players and guilds, which lets you compare your and your Guild's server rank with others. Some of the game's worlds are populated by up to 500.000 players. To join a world you need to create an account first. If you want to play in other worlds you need multiple accounts. Shakes & Fidget is continually evolving. At the end of 2012 the Tale Tower was introduced, adding numerous new computer opponents and also followers that can be similarly equipped as the player's character. In December 2013 the Witch update was released which introduced the Magic Caldron, spell scrolls and item enchantments. Lastly the Demons Portal was added in 2014. The developer has already announced a further major update in 2015 on the official forums. The main characters are the human Warrior Shakes as well as the gnome Magician Fidget. The comic began as a parody of World of Warcraft.
